It’s time for X3 Bar Week 5! I seriously look and feel better than ever! Check out my picture below. You can be the judge.
What’s crazy is that my weight has stayed pretty constant since starting X3 Bar. I am checking the scale and I’m staying at a solid 185 pounds but I definitely look bigger and leaner. My friends and girlfriend even complimented me that I look way more jacked as of late.
One pound of muscle and one pound of fat weigh the exact same, of course, but they obviously don’t look the same. This is because muscle is denser than fat. One pound will take up a smaller area on your body than one pound of fat. In other words, I am losing body fat and building more muscle but I am remaining at the same weight.
Weeks 1-4 had me training 4 days a week with 3 rest days. Now, I am starting week 5, which starts 6 days of training and 1 rest day. My body has definitely gotten more accustomed to X3 Bar and the intensity it entails. That’s why you get more rest days initially when first training. Now, it’s time to ramp up my X3 training so I can get even better results.
Week 5 focuses on two more principles – constant tension and diminishing range. I will discuss these in my next post.
Week 4 is complete! I am 1/3 of the way through the X3 12 Week Program. I’m definitely getting stronger, that’s for sure. Since I’ve been training consistently with my X3Bar for 4 straight weeks, I am also getting progressively less sore during my training. My body is getting used to X3.
Remember…if you are sore, it doesn’t mean you had a better workout. Soreness is not a reliable indicator of muscle growth and it’s not required for muscle growth. Often times, I get sore because my body is not used to a specific type of exercise. I’ve been getting more and more comfortable using X3 so my body has adapted to it well. The movements are now easier to perform and my body doesn’t get as sore. I am noticeably getting stronger every week. I also think using the new FORTAGEN supplement is helping me as well because I am naturally increasing my protein synthesis and offsetting any muscular and systemic fatigue that can hinder my muscle gains.
I have also noticed that I am getting better quality sleep since starting X3 Bar. I am guessing it’s because my fitness is improving. Better fitness usually means better sleep. I would frequently wake up in the middle of the night but not anymore. I feel like I am getting a lot better uninterrupted sleep. Another thing I’ve noticed is that I also don’t wake up in the morning with the back pain that I used to have. It’s easier to get out of bed and get started with my day.
